ASTM A888 hubless cast-iron soil pipe and fittings are intended for gravity drain, waste, vent and storm systems rather than pressure service.
Specify nominal diameters, pipe lengths, fittings by type and angle, coupling class, gasket requirements, project standard and whether a submittal package is required.
Cast iron is dense. Bundle weights, truck access, unloading equipment and protected jobsite staging should be addressed before release.
